*As more industry captains and brands confirm attendance at the Insurtech conference
MTN Nigeria, a subsidiary of MTN Group Limited and Nigeria’s most prominent mobile company with over 74 million subscribers, has joined the growing list of leading companies supporting the Insurance Meets Tech (IMT2022) conference taking place on Thursday 29th September 2022 is said to be in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Insurance Meets Tech Conference (IMT2022), taking place on Thursday 29th September 2022 at Ecobank’s Pan-African Hub in Ozumba Mbadiwe, Lagos, themed ‘Leveraging Insurtech to disrupt the Customer Acquisition Journey’, will gather industry captains to share insights and data on how insurance sector players can use technology and digitization to deepen access and market penetration.
The leading ICT company joins other organizations such as Ecobank, Microsoft Nigeria, aYo Holdings Ltd, Old Mutual, Curacel, Leadway Assurance, AXA Mansard, MediSmarts, ActivEdge, ETAP, MotoMarket, Paddy Cover and Interswitch Group whose leaders speak or do will be presentations for the delegates.
IMT 2022 will include presentations from Microsoft Nigeria, MTN, Active Edge and MotoMarket, while Group Chief Executive Officer, aYo Holdings Ltd (South Africa), Marius Botha, whose organization is present in five African countries, will share insights on how Tech has enabled its growth and acceptance across the continent.
With the confirmation of MTN Nigeria’s attendance and the provision of full internet broadband for industry discourse, the Insurtech Summit will be the first Nigerian event to be streamed over MTN’s newly launched 5G internet network.
IMT2022 Convener, Odion Aleobua, who is also Chief Executive Officer of Modion Communications, said: “We are poised to disrupt the West African insurance and insurtech space and it will be an exciting experience for those who personally participate in this time-defining discourse would.
“Participants, who would attend virtually on www.insurancemeetstech.com, would be streaming over a unique 5G internet broadband with a connection speed of over 900Mbps. Interestingly, virtual conference organizers need around 100Mbps for an excellent streaming experience, but with 900Mbps 5G internet broadband, we have an excellent internet connection plan that will be the first to be rolled out in Nigeria,” Aleobua said.
