(NASDAQ: CLVR, CLVRW), a leading multinational operator and licensed producer of pharmaceutical-grade cannabinoids, today announced a partnership with a US cannabis brand announced the genetic innovation company House of Kush to become the exclusive breeder and distributor of proprietary genetics worldwide. Clever Leaves will be the exclusive producer of various genetics for House of Kush outside of the United States and Canada.
As the exclusive breeder of House of Kush worldwide, Clever Leaves will cultivate and commercialize proprietary House of Kush genetics at its facilities in Colombia and Portugal for the duration of the three-year agreement, after completing an initial phase of genetic evaluation and customization for each production site. This partnership will further strengthen Clever Leaves’ portfolio of smokable, high-THC bud already sold in Germany, Israel, and Australia.
Clever Leaves will produce various House of Kush strains including Bubba Kush Pre-98 and San Fernando Valley OG Kush at Clever Leaves’ Colombian and Portuguese facilities. In Colombia, the company operates 18 hectares of cultivated land and has obtained several international certifications, including EU GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification, a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification from the Colombian Institute for Food and Drug Control – Invima and Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP) certification. Clever Leaves’ facility in Portugal is located on approximately nine million square feet of land, consists of approximately 260,000 square feet of greenhouse facilities and has been licensed by INFARMED IP, the Portuguese regulator overseeing the pharmaceutical industry in Portugal, to import, export and grow Cannabis, (EU-GMP) certification and are (GACP) certified.
