England vs. Senegal highlights: Harry Kane & Co. dominate to 3-0 win

the FIFA World Cup 2022 continued on Sunday with England beating Senegal 3-0 at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar in the fourth match of the round of 16 tournament.

With the win, England advances to face France in the quarterfinals on Friday (11 am ET, FS1 and the FOX Sports app).

Senegal had some early chances, but never capitalized. This opened the door for England to take control of the match just before halftime with goals from Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane giving them a 2-0 lead at the break. Bukayo Saka added a third goal in the second half to finish off Senegal.

4′: Senegal has some early pressure

Boulaye Dia was able to break through a pair of English defenders but the pace of his entry into the box was too much for him, preventing Senegal from getting a shot.

22′: So close for Senegal

Ismaïla Sarr was so close to connecting fully on the cross, which would have given Senegal a 1-0 lead.

32′: Pickford caught England

Senegal continued to put pressure on England in the first half, with Dia getting a shot from just a few meters in front of the net. But Jordan Pickford made the diving stop to keep the game scoreless.

38′: England goes on top

England was able to turn the tide, not only keeping Senegal off the board despite their pressure but also scoring an own goal. Jordan Henderson got the right touch on Jude Bellingham’s pass to give the Three Lions 1-0 lead.

Harry Kane got a one-on-one opportunity on the attack just before halftime and capitalized, scoring on an attack at the top of the half to make it 2-0 England.

Bukayo Saka got to the right place at the right time, entering the center of the box to turn Phil Foden’s pass into a goal and make it 3-0 to England.
