Here is how to apply for MBBS at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune


Pune Armed Forces Medical College is a top-notch institute that offers quality medical education completely free of charge. The selected candidates were able to complete the course with discipline and also received free food, lodging and other facilities. Also, there are allowances for uniform/books/stationery/laundry. Students should stay on campus. You are not allowed to get married during the course.

The candidates should have passed the first chance plus two with 50% grades each in physics, chemistry and biology and a total of 60% grades in the three subjects. They must also achieve at least 50% of the points in English. Candidates should have reached the age of 17 on December 31, 2022; they should not be older than 24 years. Of the 145 places for Indians, 30 are reserved for women.

In addition, 10 places are reserved for candidates from the designated categories. However, there would be no relaxation of eligibility or age criteria for those eligible to make a reservation. Those wishing to pursue medical education here should apply specifically to AFMC while registering on the website www.mcc.nic.in for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – UG 2022 administered by the National Testing Agency .

Of the candidates who chose AFMC, 1740 applicants, 1380 male and 360 female candidates, would be shortlisted for screening. You should reach the institute in Pune with original documents according to the schedule posted on the websites www.afmcdg1d.gov.in/ www.mcc.nic.in.

There will be a 30-minute computer-based ToELR test consisting of 40 multiple-choice, 2-point questions. The test assesses candidates’ English language skills, comprehension and logical skills. Half a point would be deducted for each wrong answer. Those who participated in sporting events and NCC and soldiers’ stations would receive additional weighting in the ranking. To be included in the ranking, candidates must qualify in the mental aptitude test; Grades would not be considered as a criterion for ranking. In addition, candidates must undergo a thorough medical test.
